(formerly CORGI registration) The Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme for Gas Fitting Operatives – ACS
STAGE THREE of the PPC4 course
You must hold ACS accreditations in the relevant areas as well as being registered on the Gas Safe Register before you can work on gas pipe work and appliances.
Many plumbers simply buy-in these services as and when they may be required however, if your preference is to be Gas Safe registered yourself, this PPC4 Stage Three course option allows you to obtain accreditations in all of the following areas:
CCN1 Core Gas Safety Certificate (Mandatory)
CEN1 Gas Central Heating Boilers
CKR1 Gas Cookers and Hobs
HTR1 Gas Fires
WAT1 Gas Water Heaters
CPA1 Gas Flue Analysis
Prior to attendance in Centre you must complete a Portfolio of Evidence of gas related work you have done under the direct supervision of a registered Gas Safe engineer. When you enrol you will receive instruction on how your Portfolio should be completed.
The Portfolio must provide evidence of a minimum of 140 days gas related work and the individual entries must be signed by the gas engineer to authenticate them. If you have gained full NVQ Level two from Stage Two of the PPC4 course, you will only need to provide evidence of 70 days of gas related work. |

NOTE: You must enrol on Stage 3 within two years of enrolling on Stage One, to benefit from the special rates available only to our plumbing students.
